Bazaar @ QT
An indulgent brunch buffet – my gluttony and indulgence weren’t unprecedented! My homies and I decided to head out for brunch on weekend and we did our research. Upon hearing about the brunch buffet at the QT hotel which was decently priced, we made a beeline & were superbly amazed. We had to make a booking a few weekends in advanced to get a decent time slot for Sunday brunch and boy was it worth it! What we ordered: Sunday Brunch Buffet A hot dirty chai Bazaar has a bright

Barefoot Barista
An interesting place for brunch with an option to sit indoors or outdoors. I discovered a new area inside the cafe that seemed like Narnia awaits – for those who know the reference – with a hanging Babylon theme going on. What we ordered: Breakfast board Zucchini Haloumi Fritters Salad Chai Latte Mocha The service was good and the coffee/drinks were on point! I had the breakfast board and my friend had the zucchini haloumi fritters salad that came with a poached egg. As girly

Espresso Moto Cafe & Bikeworks
A quirkily different find: The GC’s first motorbike café: an espresso bar eatery & motorcycle repair shop combined. I’m a huge fan of brekky/brunch and can have the most important meal of the day, at any time of the day. My partner in crime and I stumbled upon this place by accident. As usual, we got up late for a brunch appointment and decided to drive around in search of a place that was open (way past noon). The other place we had in mind didn’t serve brekky past 11.30am

Bam Bam Bakehouse
The first thing that came to mind when I heard the name of this place, “The Flintstones” and a character in that called Bam Bam! I made the trip here to the patisserie/bistro joint after a friend recommended it. Despite planning to have brekky and dessert, looking over to the next table and everyone else around us, made me change my mind. It was a lovely salad paired with sate prawns - that brought a taste of home back. What we ordered: Bam Bam House Salad with Prawns & a sid

Burger Bros
For some odd reason, burger cravings strike us late in the evening when places are about to close. Getting rugged up on a winter night takes more effort than expected. A google search told me that this was the only place that was open and - near enough to where I was at that time. The place was a little hard to find as it was located at the Harbourside market and not very well lit. But the food was AMAZING!!!!! What we ordered: Beached AZ : Lettuce, Beer battered fish fillet,

Allure on Currumbin
“Stressed spelt backwards is, Desserts”. I was taken to this lovely french place just for the oh-so-amazing Croquembouche! The picture from Allure’s website was ‘the’ image that attracted our attention. An elaborate, intricate work of art that looked way too pretty to disfigure. As always, we had to stick to our food fiendish nature and think about dessert even before we had dinner on that day. As we celebrated a special occasion, this was pre-ordered. Yay for brownie points

Dune Cafe
A lagoon sided brekky! Om nom nom.. Attracted to this place by the friend’s choice of cuisine & research. Dune Cafe is located in the Palm Beach Parklands, overlooking the beautiful Currumbin Lagoon. On a bright and sunny day – where staying indoors should be considered illegal – we ventured here for the lovely view and the fresh and seasonal food. What we ordered: Haloumi Salad Burger Special with bacon Milk Shake Chai Latte The haloumi was done to perfection. Together with
