Bam Bam Bakehouse
The first thing that came to mind when I heard the name of this place, “The Flintstones” and a character in that called Bam Bam! I made the trip here to the patisserie/bistro joint after a friend recommended it. Despite planning to have brekky and dessert, looking over to the next table and everyone else around us, made me change my mind. It was a lovely salad paired with sate prawns - that brought a taste of home back.

I don’t usually order salads when I dine out, but as everyone else around me had a plate that looked too good to resist, I caved in and joined the crowd. My house salad consisted of fresh rocket, shaved pecorino, Bosc pear, toasted hazelnuts & house vinaigrette and I added grilled sate prawn skewers (6) to this. Yummy, yummy get in my tummy. It was heaps filling and I loved the vinaigrette dressing. The pear was sweet and just done the right way.
The milkshake wasn’t much of an impresser, but my hot chocolate was decent. It could have done with some warmth, though. By the time it got to my table, my hot beverage was like warm/cool chocolate.
The pastries smelt fresh and I’ve heard that certain a certain blond haired, blue eyed actor has come here just for the treat. I didn’t get a chance to bump into the hammer wielding dude, but I just might as I plan to go there again and check out some of the other items on the menu AND get my croissant as well!
